I first saw your game on newgrounds. It's a very good shmup, nice job. And you made a good use of Larzes's assets 👍

It works very well on both my laptop and my smartphone.

Yass and now phaser 3 is even more amazing on mobile ... maybe I'll find the time for a 2nd one but Lazer keeps selling his assets as 1 huge AI image ... it takes a lot to setup meshes or try to cut out individual parts for animation. That's really the only bummer... also if you're also an HTML5 game dev I hole heartedly recommend the phaser editor. Makes boiler plating and setting hit zones so much easier than through code.

Hello,
is it you who is selling this great game on codecanyon.net (see https://codecanyon.net/item/sky-warrior-html5-game/47972280) or a tactful person?

Yeah they absolutely ripped my game and made more money than I did through free to play or hoping for any help with donations lol... well it is how world works, the crooks win.

I think all the games sold by this guy are stolen!
it's really sad to see this :-(

You should report this crook to Envato (https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/requests/new), because your game is sold with the source code and a distribution license... So honest people or honest companies can buy a license and distribute your game thinking they are in compliance with copyright which is not the case...

And maybe you could also sell your game on CodeCanyon (I would definitely be interested) :-)

They asked me to file a DCMA, did my best now it's up to Envato to take action. They got 2 of my games both here on itch.io. The even more bad part is the asset creator I based my work on.

They're basically re-selling his assets too, I paid for my free use fee. But it says clearly in the contract I can't just rework and sell his IP. They're infringing both me and this guy:

Got pretty much all the space shooter assets from Lazers in a recent bundle ... learned a bit of Colyseus for multiplayer, hopefully sometime in the future I can do a nice multiplayer 2 player arcade style.

The problem I consistently face is monetizing my HTML5 work. Perhaps the guy can't steal Unity or if the game has ads in it (which might mean popular arcades will reject it). Animating the assets using Spine takes pretty long, since this needs to be animated with mesh and it's pretty painful. If anyone knows a way to animate static assets with tools like blender I'd be down to learn the skill.

Also help with marketing would be welcome, I do these games in between contracts or w/e I can find. Nowadays HTML5 is pretty much all casino gaming and it's tough cutthroat business in there, impossible dead lines and occasionally the rude lead that gets you fired soon as the game is ready to ship.

Just the world we live in folks, I'm out of work right now, trying to learn the AI ways using DS, NightCafe is awesome, love SDXL and recommend trying it out if you have the gear.

LoL soon as I typed some rather harsh words in the feedback the game was taken down. Maybe it was just timing on their part.

Can you confirm the item is down? I just want to make sure I am not blocked to see it or something like that.

Oh really sad to see this, i checked  your game taken down. i did not see game there.

I think you should try with Unity WebGl or Godot they are amazing game engines and secure. I would like to see your new AI games

The ABSOLUTE BEST shoot 'em up that ive ever played. 11/10 game right here.

Thanks for the praise, I know a good number of high quality Japanese shmups I'd love to match some days. This game is just a hobby result nowhere as good, but yeah it tries hard.

Im not a fan of the genre but this is an amazing game. even though there are better games i think you will go far

Awesome game, just a question: how many bosses are there?

I remember a burnout hit me after the 4th.

I have art for more but the time and effort put into is just not justified any longer. Maybe, if I can get more deals from prospects or ppl that can market the game properly it might make sense. I don't have much experience with monetizing, it is what kills my personal game dev. Peple play and support what they want more of. There's plenty of content out there! :)

Well I know a few people who love shoot 'em ups, so I'll tell them!

@cpet is there a way i can shoot an email to you

One of the best shmups I've ever played,

Would recommend to anyone who's a fan of the genre.

:D

Updated new version to fit under larger than intended iFrames

There's still a known bug about not being able to shut the music off, just keep toggling it once in game ... but seriously who would turn off such incredibly engaging music! :)
